JMC Complete 487 Miles for Sport Relief
JMC has completed 487 miles for Sport Relief during its “Do-A-Mile” challenge week.
Team members were challenged to complete as many miles as they could, with many clocking up the distance by running and cycling to and from work, as well as by using the on-site gym during lunchtimes.
Over 40 members of the JMC team participated, however some individuals went that little bit further and as a result deserve extra recognition.
Jonathan Broadley left his car at home all week and cycled to and from work. By the time he got home on Friday night he had managed to cycle 60 miles over the five days.
Having been in a committed training regime since the New Year, Steve Chalkley completed an 11 mile run into work. Completing the journey in just over two hours Steve also raised an additional £165 in sponsorship money.
Tess Mayors wore a pedometer all week tracking her movements around Riverside. Due to the nature of Tess’s role within the company she clocked up an impressive 21 miles!
Despite these great performances the top prize has to go to JMC’s Business Development Director Tim Maxwell who clocked up a remarkable 105 miles in just four days by cycling to and from work.
JMC is donating one pound for every mile completed which, when added to the money raised from a dress down day, takes the total raised too an impressive £572. Once the money reaches Sport Relief, it will be sent to help turn around the lives of people in the UK and across the world’s poorest countries.

JMC ensured that the deployment of our new system was a very positive experience.
We would have been lost without the help of JMC.
