JMC 2009 Sports & Stadia User Group – A Decade of Experience

As JMC’s market share of the sports and stadia market continues to grow the largest annual user group meeting was held recently at Villa Park Stadium.  Primarily focused around the Microsoft Dynamics™ GP product the event delivered the latest in JMC and Microsoft updates. 

A high profile group from JMC’s sports and stadia client base gathered at Villa Park on June 25th for the 2009 Sports & Stadia User Group.  Client attendees included senior financial personnel from Manchester United FC, Blackburn Rovers FC, Liverpool FC, Portsmouth FC, Bolton Wanderers FC, Aston Villa FC, Leeds United FC, Croke Park Stadium and the Gaelic Athletic Association.

The all-day seminar provided an ideal forum in which to reflect on JMC’s decade of experience with the sports and stadia market.  Impressive stats shared on the day included the fact that JMC’s client base now includes 35% of Premier League Clubs - as well as The Premier League itself, 1,787 Dynamics support calls have been successfully resolved by the JMC team, and the clubs have gone through 36 different managers in their time as JMC clients!

Following important product update was an open table forum which allowed attendees to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing sports and stadia finance teams.  The shared enthusiasm of the group meant that, as well as sharing valuable advice, clients discussed potential economies of scale that could be achieved through shared IT development and training.

The invaluable feedback received on the day confirmed that the event was a huge success.  It provided a unique opportunity to review the current technologies available, advise best practice guidelines and air and tackle common concerns.  Ultimately it also increased the bond between the members of our ever expanding sports stadia client group.
