Team JMC out for revenge in the Dragon Boat Race 2008

Team JMC gathered its 17 man crew to compete in its second Dragon Boat Race at Salford Quays on May 10th 2008. 

Narrowly missing out on victory in 2007, Team JMC was out for revenge and ready for the challenge.  Thousands of spectators watched as Team JMC raced through some tough heats to qualify for an equally tough semi-final.

Unfortunately a strong university team coupled with high temperatures got the better of Team JMC and stopped it from reaching the final. Out of the many competitors that entered to raise money for SPARKS Children’s Charity, a very worthy Salford University team named Reluctant Dragons picked up the winner’s title for 2008.

Following another rewarding challenge this year, Team JMC will no doubt be returning for a third attempt at the title in 2009.
